Noor's Fifteen Minutes

I received an email just before Christmas from the Middle East Director at Sovereign Strategy asking to use one of my photographs.  When I found out they were working with KNPC on their new Corporate Social Responsibility programme, I had no hesitation in agreeing.  The photograph is of my daughter Noor, which I took on Independence Day last year.

Yesterday, my wife and I were invited to the Press Launch for KNPC's CSR.  The special thing about this project is that their aim is to be one of the first companies in the world to achieve a new ISO standard for social responsibility.  The first reported press release online was on Zawya.  It's also featured in most of today's papers.

Noor had her moment of fame yesterday.  She was at Kuwait Zoo at the time (school trip) and didn't know anything about it :)

Thank you... It's their way of being a more responsible company socially.

I'm worried about your blood pressure :) I know what you mean - but this is hopefully different. btw I charged nothing for the photos. This is and will remain a hobby.

If you're from KNPC and need the photos I took on the day, I sent J the best 23 yesterday.

Thanks... You're right about it being on two counts. Not sure about the millions though :)

Thanks. It was very special indeed. Thank you for the kind words.

As regards finding the time - I have to admit I surprise myself sometimes... It's not easy. Today for example, I left the house at 9am and I just returned at 11pm. All day! Our president is visiting from France and we had two guests from our agent in Saudi Arabia. I still don't know the football result. I need to know!

I notice that your fan base is growing by leaps and bounds, and every photo is getting more and more comment.

I don't know if it works the same on your blog, but I find that tags and categories help bring the people who are interested in the same things I am blogging about. I see you are using good tags; that helps. Also, as you are finding, it helps to be regular with your posting. It's like every relationship - contact helps.
