Reclaimed Land

It's that time of year when we take back our garden and own the outside space of our home.   We maintain our small garden to give us pleasure all year from the window looking out, but during autumn and spring it offers us a more tangeable pay-back.

This post is a collection of images taken in the past few days.  It's a small space with many users.

I haven't done much gardening recently and I will need to find a free weekend to do some much-needed updating.  For now, it's nice to see new shoots and changing colour.

Plants and animals also make way for us... Yousef and Noor love spending their afternoons in the garden, if they're not .  From playing house, to bike races - and even stealing my iPad for a quick game.

This weekend, we had our first barbecue since the spring. The weather was just perfect.  Even our music found its way outside...  I hope spending afternoons in the garden becomes a weekly feature.

hey.I got you website link from searching aeroplane photography from google. spent awhile looking at your photos from your old site BuYourslef, then came to this one, your photos are great!
I especially (only from this section, i have more!) love the third photograph, reminds me of home, where I have exactly the same tree outside, lining half of my street. What country Is this set of photos taken in ? If you don't mind my asking.
familiar foliage, as with the bougainvillea struck me that the photo's were taken in a warmer climate.
Before I sign off, must say, the 8th picture, of nora, is such a fantastic pic, one Im sure she'll treasure & look back upon fondly in her teenage years, sure to be a beauty ! :)

P.S. I need to mention : as I've been reading your blogs, I notice your always on 'business trips', is photography your work or a pastime ? I know its sounds stupid & that with your quality of work& wide expanse of pics, you could only be a photographer, but not sure? Anway, I end by saying, once again, your pics are brilliant & have been viewing them for over an hour now! Goodness me, I best get back to my study, a most fulfilling distraction! haha. greetings from Wales.
p.p.s. would you mind me making a collage, for personal use to keep, of your photos?
I love beautiful pictures & I save any really good ones I sight on the net+ keep them.Im planning to make a scrapbook or mood board to place my own photos amongst, and (as much as I love taking good photos!)Im afraid I have neither the equipment, nor skill to do so, and I feel your work really captures scenes and sights which I have also experienced & sighted and remind me of beautiful places& as is the beauty of nature and the world in which we live. - esp that of your travel pics. i love traveling, its all I've ever been used to, with family from a young age, and will never cease to give up.Its my passion & as others see it, I have the 'bug', :) as it has long been passed on from my father.

I hope I have relayed to you some of the appreciation I have for your pictures./ please do not hesitate to refuse, as I understand your work is copyrighted.& that you may have your reasons for declining.

Thank you E.M. For your visits, comments and very nice words. The photos on this post were taken in our garden in Kuwait. you are more than welcome to use the images in any way you want as long as it's not commercial, which in your case it clearly isn't.

Photography is a hobby not my work. I take my camera with me when possible.

All the best,
