London is one of those cities that invites you to carry your camera whenever you're out.  The other day, I wanted to take photos of the tube: stations, passengers and trains.  I imagined how it would look in black-and-white and was looking forward to playing with light and movement - and hopefully some interesting faces for portraits.  I walked to my nearest underground station, and jumped on a replacement bus service.  Don't you just love it?

Engineering works on the Piccadilly line meant a bus ride to Hammersmith.  Ok so I would start my fun then... no.  By the time I arrived in Hammersmith, there was a signal failure.  It was a Sunday so I changed my plan and headed into town to my favourite book store, grabbed a coffee, had a long walk around London, and took the train back home. On this mini adventure, I caught a few special London moments that I wanted to share with you.  The Tube in black-and-white is going to have to wait.

By the afternoon, I was by the National Gallery.  These people were outside.  It was raining, wet, busy and all (ALL) non tourists were frowning.  I am honestly unsure which describes Londoners most; the fact that these people were standing there in this weather, or the fact that they did not seem to care that no-one 'hugged' them in the thirty minutes I was there.
